Phoenix: Experiential Lecture at Moksha
October 3, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm PDT
FreeThis event is offered at no charge to students, faculty, community of Moksha, as well as anyone interested in rejuvenating from the hustle and bustle of day to day activities, academic, & service-based lifestyle. It is an opportunity to learn tools for a continued sense of inner balance, inspiration, and a way to facilitate that for others.
The lecture will explore the origins of the ancient healing practice of Pranayama, Prana meaning life force & Ayama meaning to expand. We will discuss effects of the gentle pattern of breathing known to increase productivity, reset the central nervous system, promote integration of the brain’s left & right hemispheres, and create the peaceful internal environment necessary for healing, emotional/mental processing, and physical wellbeing. Attendees will be invited to participate in a short experiential practice at the end. No experience necessary & open belief systems, This event will be facilitated by Michael Brian Baker, the highly celebrated founding member of The Breath Center, teacher of oral traditions, & arts practitioner of Ojai CA.
Please RSVP as space will fill quickly.
